Dental Digital Imaging

Dentistry in Amazing 3-D
We are excited to be one of the first practices locally to use 3-D CT scan digital imaging technology. You might think of this as a three-dimensional X-ray that is much more accurate than older film X-rays, takes a lot less time, and does everything with dramatically less radiation. One advantage of CT scan images comes when diagnosing patients and evaluating treatment options. The dentist is clearly able to see the patient’s anatomy in 3-D, instead of flat, two-dimensional images. This allows for greater accuracy for all dental treatments, in particular dental implant placement and any oral surgeries.

More Than a Quarter of Americans Have This Untreated Disease

Let's just say, it might be time to get your pearly whites checked.

It's time for Americans to get over their fear of the dentist. According to new data published from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics, more than 25% of U.S. adults aged 20 to 64 have untreated tooth decay. Additionally, 1 in 5 adults aged 65 and older may have it as well.

And if that's not motivation enough to take a seat in the dental chair, 91% have one tooth (or more) that has been treated for tooth decay or needs to be.

Dental Bridges

A Cost-Effective Option for Several Missing Teeth
For some patients with more than one missing tooth, a bridge may be a reasonable solution. Custom made with high-quality materials, a bridge is attached on both sides with crowns and fills up the gap for a return to comfortable tooth function, as well as a full smile.

Dental Intra Oral Camera

See What Our Team Sees with the Intra-Oral Camera!
Dr. Kravitz works closely with patients to build a bond of teamwork. One way he brings this about is through the use of a high-tech tool called the intra-oral camera. This device is a small video camera that produces a closeup image of the inside of your mouth. You get to see what work needs to be completed, as well as which teeth are perfectly healthy. You then become an active participant in your dental care. You’ll love this technology!

Dental Crowns

A Crown to Repair Tooth Damage
Crowns may be necessary to save a damaged tooth when a filling can’t restore it to full function. A crown will salvage and even strengthen the damaged tooth. We use advanced materials to construct your crown. Our crowns are created from the best-quality materials available. They look so natural, you won’t be able to tell them apart from real teeth.

Choosing Wisely: 5 Things Every Family Should Know About Dental Health (Part 3 of 3)

Don’t replace fillings just because they’re old

When you have a cavity, the dentist removes it and puts in a filling. These fillings can last for many years, but some people get silver fillings removed because they don’t like the color. However, the process of removing a filling can weaken the tooth. Additionally, insurance may not cover the removal.

Choosing Wisely: 5 Things Every Family Should Know About Dental Health (Part 1 of 3)

Use toothpaste with fluoride for infants and children

For children younger than 3 years, you should begin brushing a child’s teeth with fluoride toothpaste in an amount no larger than a grain of rice. For children 3 to 6 years of age, use a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste.

Consider sealants to prevent decay or treat beginning cavities on the back teeth

Dental sealants act as a barrier to prevent cavities. They are a plastic material applied by a dentist to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth where decay occurs most often.

Smile Makeovers

Full-Mouth Smile Rehabilitation
Good oral health goes beyond just maintaining your smile with regular cleanings and the occasional filling. Sometimes it can have a much bigger impact on health and appearance. Many patients who’ve dealt with injury, illness, bite problems, and worn teeth can have chronic problems they didn’t even realize originated in the mouth. Tooth grinding (bruxism), TMJ, periodontitis, crooked or misshapen teeth, and lost teeth can combine to create headaches and migraines, toothaches, bad breath, or an unattractive appearance. However, we have solutions for these problems.

Dr. Kravitz will discuss your concerns, symptoms, and treatment goals. After taking digital X-rays, photos, and imprints of your mouth, he will discuss treatment options to address those issues and help you achieve a healthy, pain-free, beautiful smile. We can also discuss phased treatment and the financial planning that will make all of this possible.
